The role of the Evangelization Ministry is to engage the Parish and call and prepare individuals to be Evangelists for Jesus to the people they know. We do this by sponsoring the Parish Lenten Mission and other teaching activities.

We Are Called

We recognize the call to be Intentional Disciples, living examples of the presence of God in the world, faith in action.

Serve in this Ministry

Our Commitment:
The role of the Evangelization Ministry is to engage the parish and call and prepare individuals to be Evangelists for Jesus to the people they know. We do this by sponsoring the Parish Lenten Mission and other teaching activities.

What We Do:
Provide educational opportunities and support other Evangelizing Ministries in seeking to provide people an opportunity to grow in faith and the love of Jesus.

Time & Training Required:
The time commitment is open and depends upon the individual. People can serve on the Ministry in a planning and coordination capacity or may simply volunteer to help with the Parish Mission or other opportunities.

Helpful Attributes:
Individuals willing to perform many different types of tasks from hospitality, teaching, organizing events, publicity, and contacting other parishes. There is a broad range of opportunities to serve, but the basic requirement is a willingness to share one's faith.

Parish Lenten Mission

A Lenten special mission is held by the Parish each year during Lent. It is an opportunity to set aside specific time to pray, meditate and reflect, and most importantly, to do this as a parish community.  The mission is a time of renewal of our relationship with God and each other.

Alpha

Alpha is a place where we explore the Christian faith. Everyone is welcome, no matter where you are in your faith journey. It’s a great way to form community within this large parish. We will share a free home cooked meal and if you need childcare, that is provided as well! Bring your friends and family for a relaxed evening. If you’re searching for a little more meaning to your week, we hope to see you Monday nights!  Alpha has been endorsed by many including Fr. John Riccardo, Fr. Larry Richards and Fr. Mike Schmitz.

Alpha will be held in the Great Hall of St. John the Baptist and will run for 11 weeks, every Monday, beginning September 10. 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.  For questions email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
